Pricing Options

In Romania, DaDesktop provides four flexible payment methods:

1. Public cloud (from 3 EUR a day)
2. Private server (from 10 EUR a day)
3. Reseller or volume purchasing (from 0.1 EUR a day)
4. On premise
    

Public Cloud

A basic Linux desktop with 8GB RAM, 8‑core CPU, and 50GB SSD is charged at 3 EUR per day. Every additional 8GB RAM, 8 cores, and 50GB storage adds another 3 EUR to the daily rate.

Windows machines carry a 1 EUR daily surcharge, which you can avoid if you bring your own license.

NB The daily rate covers any usage within a 24‑hour window that starts at midnight, local server time.

 

Private Server

For a predictable, fixed cost—no matter how many desktops you run or how many resources you assign—you can purchase an entire server.

With a dedicated server, your only limit is the server’s own resources, not the number of desktops or individual units.

Reseller or volume discounts

Resellers and high‑volume buyers can access discounts of up to 80%.

This is typically suited for companies that plan to:

1. Integrate DaDesktop with your product
2. Resell it
3. Purchase in high volumes 
    

On-premise

Standard on‑premise deployment in Romania costs 6 EUR per core.

Case 1

Someone runs an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB SSD for 8 hours in a single day. 

Total price: 3 EUR

Case 2

A user works on an Ubuntu desktop (8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB storage) for a couple of hours daily over 5 days. 

Total price: 5 days * 3 EUR = 15 EUR

Case 3

1. A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB storage for 1 hour
2. The desktop is then deleted
3. Later that same day, another desktop with the same configuration is created and used for 1 hour

Total price: 3 EUR

Case 4

1. A user launches an Ubuntu standalone desktop (8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB storage) for 1 hour
2. The desktop is deleted
3. Still the same day, another desktop with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs, and 100GB storage is created and used for 1 hour

Two different configurations were used:

Machine 1 = 3 EUR

Machine 2 = 6 EUR

Total price: 3 + 6 = 9 EUR

1. A person uses an Ubuntu course desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB storage for 1 hour
2. The desktop is deleted
3. On that same day, a desktop with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs, 100GB storage is created by the same participant or trainer and used for 1 hour

Total price: 6 EUR 

 

Billing for Courses

Under Public Cloud and Reseller options, course charges go to the Organization Owner, based on desktops created by users during the course period.

Trainers

• If a Trainer is invited to the course, the Organization Owner is billed.
• When the Trainer creates the course, the Trainer pays for it.

• To put it simply, the Organization owner who set up the course bears the cost.
