Administering Operating System Templates
OS Template Naming Standards
We exclusively use lowercase and dashes when naming templates.
Following this convention is vital so the application can accurately classify and sort them.
<os>
Avoid using dashes in the <os> segment.
<key><number>
For example:
centos8
debian12
win10
ubuntu2404
ubuntu2204
<template>
<os>-template-v<number>
Examples:
debian12-template-v21
ubuntu2204-template-v17
kali-template-v2
<dd4w>
dd4w-tpl-lxc-<os>-v<number>
dd4w-tpl-kvm-<os>-v<number>
They must start with 'dd4w-'.
Examples:
dd4w-tpl-kvm-win10-v5
dd4w-tpl-lxc-ubuntu2204-v2
Template Distribution
Within this section, you can copy, remove, or compare all OS templates stored in your cloud, right here in Romania. Keep in mind that moving a lot of templates at once can affect your server's network performance and overall experience. It's best to schedule copy operations outside of regular working hours.
Bulk Removal of OS Templates
A recently added feature lets you delete templates in bulk from multiple servers simultaneously. What used to be a slow, tedious process is now fast and simple.
- Simply pick a server that contains the template you need and select 'Remove from .. ' — the ''Remove' option is for deleting just one template at a time.
- A list will appear showing only the servers that currently hold this template.
- Check the servers you want to delete the template from.
-
Press 'Submit' and confirm the action; the templates will then be deleted
