Continuing to Use Your Desktop After the Course Ends

DaDesktop includes a convenient option that allows participants to keep using their course machine for practice once the training is over. Shortly before a course concludes, an email goes out asking attendees if they'd like to continue accessing their desktop after the course finishes.

 

Typically, each participant's course desktop is removed soon after the course ends. If you want to hold on to yours so you can practice the lab exercises covered, you can clone it into a 'Standalone Desktop' for ongoing use.

Simply go to your Course, locate your Desktop machine, and click the 'Use desktop after course' link next to it.

 

DaDesktop then walks you through a straightforward process and lets you 'Enable' this operation.

After enabling, you will see the following shown next to your course machine:

To reach your Standalone machine once the course is over, click the Standalones menu at the top of the screen.

If a Standalone machine remains unused for a month, it will be removed. However, we send an advance email to give you ample warning in case you wish to continue using it.
