Resizing the disk of a Fresh-start desktop during a course

If an existing Fresh Start machine runs low on disk space, you can easily add more capacity to it
  1. First, stop the Fresh-Start machine
  2. Next, use the Clone & Resize option to create a Standalone machine, as shown below (set up an organization if you haven’t already). Clone - Resize to Standalone Desktop
  3. At this point, increase the disk size as needed and confirm the change
  4. Head to the 'Standalones' link at the top of the page to find it and make sure it’s there
  5. Then, remove the original Fresh-Start machine from the course using the 'Delete' button
  6. Click the 'Create Fresh-Start from my Standalone' button
    Create from Standalone

  7. Inside the 'Create from Standalone' dialog, you also have the option to adjust the disk size here if you skipped it earlier.
Create Freshh Start from Standalone, choose disk size change
  8. Enter an alias name if necessary, then press the 'Create Desktop' button
  9. Standard DaDesktop Linux and Windows OS templates will automatically extend the OS. Note that AlmaLinux standard templates configure their default partitions differently, so extra manual steps are required, as detailed below.
  10. For custom OS templates, you may need to manually extend the partition(s); the following steps explain how.
